Most of the people who book a lash lift with us have already had one somewhere else, and watched it drop within a week. Straight, fine lashes need a different hand: a gentler keratin process, a curl measured to the eye rather than to a chart, and enough patience to let the lash take the shape instead of forcing it.
The studio is also an academy for aspiring specialists, and a wholesaler of the products we use in the room. What we teach is what we do, on Hastings Street, six days a week.

Will it hold on my lashes?
It is the question we are asked in the chair, almost always by someone who has already paid for a lash lift once and watched it drop by Friday.
Yes. Six to eight weeks. It depends entirely on how the curl is measured, and on what does the holding.

A gentle Japanese keratin lash lift with a curl customised to you. It is the treatment people travel across the city for, and the one they book again eight weeks later.
We measure the curl to your eye
Not to a chart. The shield is chosen for your lash length and lid shape, so the lift opens the eye instead of bending the lash back at it.
Keratin does the holding
The gentle Japanese formula sets the shape while it nourishes and strengthens the natural lash. That is what keeps the curl for six to eight weeks on hair that has refused to hold one before.
You leave and forget about it
No aftercare. Wash your face, put on makeup, use an oil-based remover the same afternoon. It is safe for pregnant mums and for kids.

How is the Barbie Perm different from a normal lash lift?
A standard lash lift sets a curl and leaves it there. The Barbie Perm is a gentle Japanese keratin treatment: the curl is customised to your eye shape, and the same process nourishes and strengthens the natural lash rather than only bending it. That is why it holds for six to eight weeks and why it needs no aftercare.
Will it work on straight, fine Asian lashes?
This is the case the technique was built for. Straight, fine lashes are the ones that most often refuse to hold a curl at other salons, and they are the lashes our clients most often arrive with after trying elsewhere.
Is a lash lift safe during pregnancy?
Yes. The Barbie Perm is safe for pregnant mums and for children. Tell your therapist at the start of the appointment so the plan can account for it.
Do I have to be careful with my lashes afterwards?
No. There is no aftercare. You can wash your face, apply makeup, and use an oil-based remover straight after the appointment.
How long do the results last?
The Barbie Perm lasts six to eight weeks. Brow lamination lasts four to six weeks. Both grow out gradually rather than dropping all at once.
How does the EGF lash growth course work?
Four sessions across two months: the first two within ten days of each other, then one a month. The package includes the four treatments plus two bottles of daily serum to use at home. Many clients see fuller lashes after the second session.
How is a Russian manicure different from acrylic?
A Russian manicure removes the cuticle precisely and buffs gently, then builds with premium Builder Gel. The result is strong and flexible rather than heavy and rigid, it looks like your own nail, and it keeps the natural nail healthy underneath. It works as a base for gel polish, extensions or nail art.
